Gary, I view this market as one of the greatest speculative bubbles in history which will end badly. Knowledge of market history has been a hinderence thus far and I wish that I had realized just how crazy this market could get but at this point I expect the bears will gain the upper hand in early 1999 -just a guess I have no crystal ball. I owned CSCO in Jan 1991 and sold too soon - without a doubt my biggest mistake. I didn't know what I was doing a friend told me about CSCO he still owns it at a split adjusted cost of $0.75 . Live and learn. Mike

Gary, here is what alan greenspan had to say about the Fed's role in the stock market bubble of the 20's. The current excesses are far worse than the 20's IMO. Mike

Gary, I wouldn't trade my put profits on Picturetel or ISSI for calls on Dell or Microsoft. Or any of my big put winners. They arrive much faster than these slow moving fluff stocks. Also, it is nice to have fundamentals and reality backing your play instead of the blundering herd's latest addiction. It allows you to stay in longer when you are working reality instead of greater fools. However, greater fools are certainly in glut. <G>
