Test contract in Singapore

UBS supplied a complete digital audio broadcast (DAB) system to
Andrews Corporation, to test and evaluate Andrew's new Radiating
Waveguide. Andrews in turn is supplying technology to a group of
Singapore companies, including NEC Systems Integration, Singapore Land
Transport Authority and Intrawave. The complete DAB system is similar
to technology currently being supplied to CD radio in the US.
Components include COFDM Modulators, Esemble Multiplexer and Source
Encoder. The test verified the attenuation of the wave-guide. This is
not technically a contract and does not have revenues associated with
it. Rather, it is a serious opportunity for UBS to showcase its
technology. We still expect UBS to bid on sizable US sourced DAB
contracts later this month. We continue to view UBS as a speculative
buy.
