Directly transfering money between brokers takes weeks,
meanwhile your money is tied up. You might be better off
withdrawing part of your cash and depositing it with
a different broker. DATEK allows wire transfers to your
bank if you set it up.

be amazed what will come up. Zillions of books on the

Gary Smith had done a piece reagrding short availability at our offices, outpacing Afhaus., Eschwab, etc. Its on our site.
Secondly, we work short orders unlike most online firms where you need to work yourself, until you get an upbid you can hit, or most "olde", "schwab" types where you simply get the first upbid regardless of how many downbids fall out of the way. On shorts, our traders' working an order can greatly improve.
