yes...I have checked with 4 different brkers north of the border Of course you can go to mailboxes etc, get an address and open the account. If you want to trade via the net with greenline, you will have to get a canadian ISP account as they do not allow access from US isp's

Nope. Some brokerage firms in Canada went to court and won. They are allowed to have accounts of American citizens in their respective residency.

All the Canadian firms I've spoken with (2) say that you must have a Canadian address. (and to short BB's a minimum of 250,000 in the account).
