Excellent test case. If LCOS deal falls through, then it means that shareholders will not stand for being bought out at low prices. don't forget, PTVL is probably not as fully priced as is LCOS. So, here are scenarios:
1. LCOS deal fails means/PTVL deal goes through: PTVL would obviously sell for a premium and its shareholders will be rewarded.
2. LCOS deal does succeeds/PTVL deal goes through: PTVL should sell for a premium and LCOS has little affect on the deal. This is because LCOS has had a strong runup prior to deal. PVTL ran up some prior to these 'rumors' but not like the other net stocks. Even without the rumors, PVTL has a track record of earning while LCOS is your typical internet fairly well since an non-overvalued stock such as PVTL will resume its climb after the dust clears even if it does not get bought out.
3. LCOS deal fails/PTVL deal goes through. That's the best. Total win situation since everybody realizes that shareholders won't stand for a sell-out.
4. Both deal fail: PTVL will continue in a stronger manner than most of the net stocks since it has yet to have such a strong rally and in doing so it will post results.

Should be a win-win situation for shareholders.
