In support of the State of Israel's rightful sovereignty over all of Jerusalem, we remind the world that: Jerusalem suffered through 19 years of Arab occupation until 1967, a dark period when Christians and Jews alike were denied access to their holy places and thousands of Arab Christians felt compelled to leave the city. Now, for the first time in 2000 years, the City of god is accessible to people of all faiths. Jerusalem has been the spiritual and political capital of only the Jewish people for 3000 years. Since 1967, the Israeli government has demonstrated sensitivity to the concerns and needs of all of Jerusalem's residents, including the Palestinians. Jews alone are mandated by biblical law to celebrate their religion in Jerusalem and self-judgment is pronounced upon Jews who forget Jerusalem (see Psalms 137). Alan
