Zoya; Be careful with that line of reasoning..MSFT has LOTS of money to throw around. MSFT is very rich, I will accept that as fact. But I don't think they are smart as their massive PR campaigns encourage people to believe.

MSFT has made many investments...some work and some dont, just like anyone else's investments. It happens that MSFT has thrown lots of money at cable co's, turning them into hot stocks, but the real risk of all cable co's is the debt load. Many cable companies, on an EVA or ROIC basis are value-destroying, and whether or not MSFT makes an investment does not change the fact that over time value destroying companies go under.
