450 Mhz availability gossip:

chiptech.com

Anyway, Lynn seems to be looking at a late February availability of the K6-2-450 (which, with the upcoming unveiling of the powerful K6-3, is being shoved into the "Celeron market"). Pricewatch lists Lynn's K6-2-450 at $219, but I couldn't find that number on the site itself. My only concern is that Lynn seems to think he'll only be getting the Sharptooth in April (meaning, likely, that the OEMs will once again be getting priority uno).

Kevin - Re: "Dixon is HUGE (180 mm^2)."

If so, DIXON is still 23 sq. mm. SMALLER than the original 0.35 micron Pentium II (Klamath).

And Intel made many, many millions of these at a great profit in 1997 and early 1998.
