Ross, On medical technology and especially on biotech, I would agree with you. But on IT, the productivity #s are extremely deceiving. One of the few places IT increases productivity is in the IT industry. So, it is a self-feeding phenomenon and somewhat incestuous, at that. <G> Basically, better boxes help you to make better boxes help you to make better boxes. The fact that they help almost nowhere else is not reflected properly because this "virtuous cycle" is being overcounted. MB
