donald: What a difference a day makes. It always makes me chuckle a little when the Market moves dramatically in either a pop up or down, because many will quickly change their tune based on one day's Market performance.

I can not remember the number of times I stuck to my guns during the decline after the July top. Many kept changing from Bull to Bear to Bull to Bear to Bull to Bear....<g> Donald you and I have spoken many times and you know I as do you, just follow a (our own) system.

Regarding my charts, since my NYSE Adv/Dec Oscillator is still in the testing stage, I have decided to replace it with a "Stochastics Fast" Indicator, for now, while I improve on it. I have also changed from using End of Day Theoretical Data for the Dow Indices to using Actual Data. This allows me to discuss my charts in relative terms to your charts and other's charts on this thread. In addition, it allows me to send my charts earlier to Monty for posting, as I no longer have to wait on Dow Jones to release the theoretical data.

I have asked Monty to post two (one time only) additional DJI (Dow Industrial Actual Data) Daily Semi-Log Charts tonight. One is a snap shot of the correction of 87. I do not have enough data to allow my med/lng oscillator to plot completely before the drop, but you can tell it signaled sell well before the drop. The sht/med oscillator is complete. The second is a long-term daily chart from 3/87 to present, with long-term supporting trend lines drawn. You can also view my oscillators over the previous eleven plus years.

Regarding your “guitar” placing the DJI near the over bought area “already”, as of today's closing numbers, on my chart the Stochastics Fast Indicator is close to over bought as well. I have much to do this evening, so I will not have time to post an analysis tonight. Of course, I pretty much agree with your "guitar" anyway, as usual...<g>

Let me know if you find the "one time only" charts of interest.

NOTE to ALL: Please remember to use **OT** for off topic discussions. Good trading to all...

What do you make of the fact that stocks made big gains on lower volumes? It doesn't like a reversal of any substance to me. (Although it did make me a nice profit. gggggggg)
