XPLOR: Industry heavy-hitters to speak on future directions of the Internet at Xplor's Marketspace '99

FEB 11, 1999, M2 Communications - TORRANCE, Calif. U.S.A. -- Xplor
International's newest conference and exhibition, Marketspace '99:
Documents in Transition, will feature top-level management from major
organizations in the utilities, government, banking and finance, and
telecommunications industries speaking on marketspace directions,
issues, and applications. The conference, which is the first to heavily
concentrate on business transactions over the Web, will take place in
Atlanta at the Atlanta Hilton & Towers March 1-3, 1999.

"The keynote speakers at Marketspace '99 will look past the bits and
bytes of marketspace and consider the big picture and how this virtual
world presents new opportunities to conduct business," said Keith
Davidson, Ph.D., EDPP, president of Xplor International.

Keynote presenter Edward D. Horowitz, corporate executive vice
president of advanced development, Citicorp and its principal
subsidiary, Citibank, will speak on "Organizational Implications of the
Marketspace -- from the Financial Industry Perspective." Horowitz, who
has been a leader in establishing global standards for a number of
technology issues, including digital compression and the production and
transmission of Advanced Television, brings a high-level executive's
viewpoint to Marketspace '99.

Jan Horsfall, vice president marketing, Lycos, will present "How the
Marketspace has Changed Marketing Forever." Horsfall will discuss why
the Web is "underhyped" and why it's the brand manager's best tool.
Horsfall is responsible for the strategic direction of Lycos including
product marketing, advertising, public relations, and promotion.

Pattie Maes, associate professor, MIT Media Laboratory, and also a
Marketspace '99 keynote presenter, will focus on "Electronic Publishing
and Electronic Commerce." Maes founded and currently directs the
Software Age Group at MIT's Media Laboratory. She is also a former
visiting professor and research scientist at MIT's Artificial
Intelligence Laboratory. For the past two years, Upside magazine has
included Maes in a list of its "100 Most Influential Netizens."

George Gilder, president of Gilder Technology Group, Inc., and senior
fellow at the Discovery Institute will present "Information Technology:
Transforming Your Business." His address closing keynote address will
provide an insightful look at the larger economic framework surrounding
the Information Technology market. As an economic advisor, Gilder
pioneered the formulation of supply-side economics when he served as
chairman of the Lehrman Institute's Economic Roundtable. Gilder is also
the author of 10 books, including "Life After Television," "Microcosm,"
and "Telecom," to name a few. Patricia Seybold, author of
"Customers.com," and Martha Rogers, founding partner, Marketing 1:1,
will both focus on customer service issues on the Internet. Seybold
will present "Making it Easy for Customers to do Business with You on
the Internet." Rogers will moderate a panel including industry experts
Mark Boehler, director customer service, Time Warner/Paragon Cable; and
Alex Robertson, project manager electronic products, Qwest
Communications. Roger Baker, CIO, U.S. Department of Commerce, will be
a panelist on "Organizational Implications of the Marketspace." In
addition to Baker, the panel will include Nancy Atkinson, vice
president and manager, business evaluation technology application,
Mellon Bank; Andy Mantis, American Express Relationship Services; and
moderator Ray Simonson, vice president and chief technology officer,
BlueGill Technologies, Inc.

Wallace, Bank of America; Jimmy Hale, GTE; Gurmeet Dhaliwal, National
Semiconductor; Jan Horsfall, vice president marketing, Lycos Inc.;
