Nord, you might want to change your name to "Saint Nord"!! Your ability to overlook, forgive, etc., with regard to continuous stream of inaccurate and misleading information put out by Spectrum is saintlike... Just realize what happened here, on the last day of the quarter, in a desperate attempt to bill something that would bring revenues up to at least the same level they were at a year ago they tried to rush a shipment out at the end of the day. And, SURPRISE, they couldn't get the shipment picked up before the close of business. The very fact that making a flat quarter required them to ship something in the last two hours of the quarter speaks volumes for what is going on. Then, when this bit of amateur behavior failed to make things look reasonable, they put out a press release saying that their misunderstanding of new accounting rules was the reason that they had such a shortfall... Give me a break!! They had the shortfall because they didn't have a lot of orders and they couldn't get the ones they did out until it was too late. That's the truth... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Not too many saintly words or thoughts come to mind in response to your interpretation of the "truth". My soul purpose in posting here is to share facts and opinions re. the dsp industry and the company. It amazes me that someone who knows what is going on is this cynical. That is my take. No one is making anyone stay here on the thread or invested in the company. I chose/choose to do so because I am fascinated by the digital potential, think the utmost of BJ, who has worked incredibly hard and made personal and financial sacrifices to get Spectrum where it is. I have invested here with the knowledge that my roe would be good and worth the wait. I strongly believe the wait is almost over ie this year we will begin making significant earnings. I am not a saint but I am a judge of character, talent, integrity, and leadership. This is one well run company with cutting edge dsp engineers. They unlike bwsi have s/w and asic capabilities. They are logs ahead of bwsi in talent and leadership. They have a plan: vertical markets. They have 2 men at the top of their fields leading the companys marketing strategy and efforts for their offerings based on the 2 dominant dsp core companies Ron Wages TI and Andrew Talbot ADI. With a software/ tooling /asics division. 60 ins for the year in all targeted markets. 2 ins with tier 1 3G basestation oems and a list of customers that reads like the whose who in dsp applications oem markets. They have a industry wide reputation for quality work and delivering product ahead of schedule. The slow growth, acquisition, consolidation of operations, addition of 3L RTOS, the expansion into Europe and Asia, the growth in number and expertise of the engineers and the atnosphere of excitement that surrounds the headquarters and their enthusiasm for projects and finding the best solution. This is not an ordinary company. I have found nothing that has made me ever doubt BJs integrity, determination, or talent to lead the company to the next level of emerging technology companies; one growing at 30-100%/yr over year. IF your words aren't just those of frustration, and reflect your true thoughts and feelings about the company then why torture yourself. Believe me, if I ever believed what you suggest, I would be out the door and not look back. This is about patience and reward and the joy of understanding where the worlds new tecnology will change our lives in ways as TE says most of us haven't even thought of yet. Regards and best wishes to all Norden
