I have learned long before that trading a good stock will NEVER make me more money than holding it for long time.

These are the words of wisdom I live by, but there are definitely people who can thrive with the opposite view (even over the long term, I'd guess).

Just Curious: who's the greatest (long-term record) "short-term" trader known somewhat commonly?

The beauty of trading a great long term hold is that if you buy on the way down at the very worst all you have done is gotten yourself more stock to hold.
You *never* have to sell at a loss. My mistake was in selling hoping for the price to drop not in buying in the first place. Ah well, got lotsa shares left (and now some free cash) and cant complain about a +15 point day!
My only problem now is I dont know whether I want the stock to go up or down tomorrow!
