I meant to say fairly typical.... anyway irrespective of that, the "Murphy Brown" scenario is typical to me - much more so than the unwed mothers you describe. In fact, I think of myself as a kind of Murphy Brown, and the majority of single mothers in N. California are just like Murphy Brown - so whats your point? That these women dont exist? That they are not the majority anywhere? Or that they are not the majority statistically, in the entire country? I agree with that btw.... country-wide Murphy Brown is an anomaly. So we shouldnt have TV shows about anybody unusual then - lets just rally around the Springer show? Again, Cosby was much more statistically unusual than Murphy... and nobody cared.
