(NASDAQ: GENS) has acquired Sammy's Travel World Inc., a full-service travel agency serving the northern New Jersey and New York City areas, it was announced today by Larry Burk, president and CEO. Sammy's Travel has annual gross bookings of approximately $1.8 million. "The acquisition of this high-quality agency with its experienced team of travel agents provides us with licensing and servicing capabilities that we can now extend to our previously acquired network of approximately 280 Sterling Independent Travel agents," Burk said. "The company also will benefit from the addition of Samuel Rabin, founder of Sammy's Travel World, to our management team. Mr. Rabin is a travel industry expert with strong connections in the travel business and a reputation for exceptional sensitivity to client service." In addition, the company will offer subscriptions to the travel site that will allow consumers to become part of the NetCruise Independent Travel Consultant Network. Network members will receive travel discounts. They also will receive commissions on all the travel they book for themselves and/or for friends, relatives and business associates.
