I agree; there was an article in yesterday's WSJ critical of NM for this policy. It was a one-sided attack on the business plan in which they had not examined the value and the items that members got for joining. They made a lot of ab-roller jokes and referred to Lehamn as an "ex-disk jockey". I think I would rather be an ex-college disk jockey with enough brains and connections to rescue a company, in addition to $35 million from my last company to throw in, than be a one-sided short-puppet amateur reporter. From reading the story, I would doubt that the company was even contacted but I have not verified that.

I joined E4l and have used the site, gotten very good prices and rebates. I have a significant position in NM and intend to keep it.
The inclusion of NM in lists of favorite e-commerce stocks mentioned on CNBC several times and in the "e-commerce index" means that someone is taking NM very seriously.

No, I didn't pay the fee... I don't believe in fees for the privilege of shopping... I wouldn't mind seeing ads...

I invested because of its TV exposure, and soon to come Radio exposure...
