Ron,

>>There are a lot of people like myself out there who are smart enough to separate abuse of power in a particular
case from a systemic abuse of power pervading out society.<<

There may be a lot, but not enough to make a difference. Not one official was ever even disciplined for either Ruby Ridge or Waco. In fact, several prominent officials responsible for both situations were promoted!

>>some @ssholes with badges got so drunk with their own
power that they abused their responsibilities to preserve civil rights,<<

Is that what you call burning children alive?

<<Your statement basically argues that because some @ssholes with badges got so drunk with their own power that they abused their responsibilities to preserve civil rights, that each and every guy with a badge or wearing a uniform is just as guilty of such abuses>>
Ron,
If loving freedom from abuses such as Ruby Ridge makes me a "wacko" bring on the paint brush and paint me that way. If you can see the evils in having these crazies out in our "land of the free" murdering women and children in an undeclared fire fight then you well might agree with me.

I said up front I disagree with everything which Mr. Weaver said but will now include "Will defend to the death his right to say it".

Our men and women in the armed forces are not (and should not be)
civilian law enforcement.

to paraphrase a bumper sticker:

"I love my country, but wonder if I need fear my government?"

Do you support government actions such as the entrapment and MURDER of those at Ruby Ridge? Only a straight out "YES" or "NO". please.

cheers

rh
