I sell as soon as my Indicators tell me to get out..... I use a combination of StochRSI (14), MACD (8-17-9), Parabolic SAR, and Regression Channel fall-outs. Most times this will get me out in a week or so BUT, if they say to stay in, I will stay in..... I NEVER set a time limit on a trade. When I trade real short term, I use a 60 Min. chart BUT still use the same indicators (except StochRSI (14) for the exit. This could keep me in a trade for a day or two but in most cases I'll be out before the end of the week.... I will NEVER stay in a trade after MACD (13-34-89) has issued a sell...... Dave Evans
