Paunch - I was watching the News tonight. Dan Quayle was on the Stump in New Hampshire. Babbling and such and the announcer said, " Dan Quayle has not as yet declarred his candiacy!" I found that amusing because another night I say Dan and the Mrs doing just that. I wonder what are are saying in the Mid West news. The quote for the day is that he was going to hold Al Gore "accountable" ...for standing by President Clinton. I wonder how the Tonight show is gunna play that with Jay Leno. Maybe ( mayb ) something like this. Good eveing ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Tonight Show roundup of the Campaign of 1999 - race 2000. On the stump in New Hampshire we have only two Republicans and one Democrate running for Presdent in the first of the Nation Primary. The two republicans are both un-announced and they are Dan Quayle and George Bush. Seems that since George lost last time he still has another term allowed by law. And since Dan lost with George; he feels it's his time and not Georges. With Clinton being put on the carpet tomorrow and Dan figurring he better not throw in the towel. George is gunna take dan to task for being too eager and take Billy to task to being to beaver. Seems to me the only one who will make out like a bandit are Jay Leno and Monica. Jay will have the same accusory question as Dan had with Gore on the next nights telecast of the Run of Bush beating the Birds out of the first in the nation primary. Geoge Bush is going to pay for the microphone this time around. The morale to the story. It's better to have two birds in the bush than what Billy did in the .....slight of hand while on the stump which he couldn't tell a lie- " I chopped down the cherry tree!". Al Gore exclaimed that that was truth, but the tree was a lie so he made a pie as allowed by law. Now, a cherry pie lies cooling from the oven heat "On the Stump." Now, Al Gore is gunna tell Dan...."I will make you accountable for supporting NOT your old ticket!" Happy Presidents Day, the special of the day is Pie. Ala mode available, while on the stump.
