Henry - I'll try to find them for you - the source seemed correct (i.e. official government figures) and the accountant in me says that if the debt increases there can't be a paydown or surplus. The person who posted it (on GPM I think) said that the sleight of hand involves the Social Security Fund - but I didn't understand the mechanics or machinations. dd

out of them. The fed is supposed to use them to control the
credit availability in the economy, but I'm unable to interpret the
