The guys over at the fool are killing me...They actually are disappointed that 3dfx is marketing the way they should for once. The only way you get the kickass 183 mhz is to blow out $250. That's a full $70 higher for an LCDFX chip that probably doesn't cost more than $10. The early adopters will be all over this no matter what the cost. In 3 months they can chop $50 off the price and they still make plenty of money. The key is to screw the early adopters for the only source of 183 mhz with SGRAM when 3dfx is production limited. They can let prices come down when they ship in volume next quarter.

Some people need to start thinking with their wallets instead of their joysticks.
