Jim: Again, Re: 2nd half or 2nd Qtr

I take two quotes directly from message 49310.

1. "K6-III will be officially released on Feb 22nd - on schedule. The retail channel, however, will not likely see any product until mid-Q2"

2. "K7 will be released in early 2nd half of '99, with most going to OEMs initially. The
retail channel will not likely see any until sometime in Q3"

Please note that the sentence structures of the two quotes are almost identical. In quote 1, author is saying the K6-III release in Q1, but retail availability in Q2. The logic is Availability A Quarter AFTER the release

In Quote 2, the author is applying the same Availability A Quarter After Release for K7. But the problem is early 2nd half of 99 is already Q3. Clearly, the author made a mistake when he said early 2nd half for K7 release. If his Q3 availability for K7 stays, the release date should be in Q2 which is consistent with the public domain knowledge regarding K7 release. The key word here is "Early", so, it's not unreasonable to speculate an early q2 K7 release.

Jim, Re: The K6-2-450 will ship in volume about the first half of March

When in volume, do you mean ready to be purchased machines in
retailer shops ?
