One more testimonial from me. When my wife gets a cold, it often turns into sinusitus that lasts for two to three weeks. She started coming down with a cold late Monday night and used Zicam exclusively on Tuesday and Wednesday. While some of her cold symptoms subsided, she had sinus pressure on Wednesday night and took some Sudafed. It's Thursday night and she feels completely better. This is after taking only four doses of Sudafed and using Zicam for 2 1/2 days. This is quite remarkable considering that before Zicam, it took her two to three weeks to get rid of a cold/sinusitus.

This puts a slightly different spin on using Zicam. Some people might find that using Zicam in conjunction with another medication has the benefit of significantly reducing the duration of the common cold while also masking the symptoms. It is my understanding that Zicam does not mask symptoms like most cold remedies, rather it prevents the virus from entering the body so whatever is already there dissipates more rapidly.

This is another way that GelTech could position Zicam in the market. It could be positioned as a product that significantly reduces the duration of the common cold and can be used with other medications like aspirin for aches and fever or Sudafed for sinus pressure. One benefit to this is that Zicam would not be competing with other cold remedies. I believe that Zicam has the potential to create an entirely new segment of the market for cold remedies. It really depends on how GelTech decides to market and position the product.
