For a non-intravenous application method for doxycycline you might look at ATRX. Their ATRIGEL method is being used for the treatment of peridontal disease in which they administer doxycycline in a gel form and it releases the medication in a timed released delivery. They are now working on using this delivery system to treat prostate cancer. The benefit is that the medicine is directly applied to the site of need and not delivered systematically.
