Last year DELL was up 250%+. Did your whole portfolio come close to making that kind of money ?

LT, you are the most rational Thread Bear that I've run into, and I've been an SI member since 1995 (which means I haven't paid a cent for the privilege of cheating off the smartest guys on SI <g>). Since it is unlikely that you'll make a living off dell puts in the near future, I'd like to offer you a freebie (in return for your evaluation of it). Hewlett Packard has missed earnings for the last 7 quarters in a row, and always get pounded afterwards (two quarters ago, they dropped from 80 to the high 40s after missing). Their next report is due out on 2/17, and February 70 puts are trading at $1 while the underlying equity is at 74 1/4. Do you think its a reasonable proposition to buy 10 hwpnn contracts?
