LG, Thanks for taking time to post those links! I have been trying to wade through a ton of posts. Most all posts offer words of wisdom. All of us have learned some very expensive lessons on the Internet threads , myself included.

I had hoped to see more information about exactly "how" to get started, and perhaps a glossary of terms relating to TA. It appears to be taken for granted that everyone knows these terms, such is not the case.

I have bought expensive books and paid as much as eighty dollars for one and it is Greek to me. We need someone who is able to put it where the rubber meets the road, in the simplest of terms so even the newbie's can figure out exactly where to start.

Please do not take this post as criticism it is NOT intended to be one. I am just frustrated in not being able to determine where to start.

I see mention of books etc. but many need someone to simplify it further. I for one learn by "doing" and most books are written for other TA experienced traders so is usually of little value to the newbie.

I see there are many who are extremely experienced at TA and have the sincere desire to assist others and I for one am appreciative but just have not been able to grasp it all yet.

I will now try going back to the first post and try to wade through almost a thousand of them. Maybe I will find something that will help me get the hang of it and a way to get started.

One thing I have grasp, is that TA is of great value. Scanning the threads for the hottest pop is not the answer.

Too late we all learn that by the time we see a stock symbol appear on a thread many in the know have already taken a position and we are little more than sucker bait!

If there is one special soul that has felt like myself who would like to really begin at the beginning for the beginners please start a new thread. LET me know where you are if you do. Till then I will keep shaking the bushes to find answers.

PS... I have ceased following stocks posted on the threads. If I see a stock I am interested in the first thing I do is see if it is being touted on the threads if it is I walk (run) the other way fast!

Sorry about the length of the post I am just so frustrated and I guess it shows.

Regards, Dusty
