In the spirit of enlightenment, I thought I'd mention a few of my favorite albums: "Close to the Edge" (Yes), "The Man Who Sold the World" (David Bowie), "Talking Book" (Stevie Wonder), "Blue" (Joni Mitchell), "Blonde On Blonde" (Bob Dylan), "American Beauty" (The Grateful Dead), "Music From Big Pink" (The Band), "Born to Run" (Bruce Springsteen), "After the Gold Rush (Neil Young), among others. As you might have gathered, I was a teenager in the '70s. But I have kept up, and am very fond of REM, Nirvana, and, more recently, a song by Harvey Danger entitled "Flagpole Sitta". Why do I mention this? Because of the misconceptions you have about conservatives. And I know lots of conservatives who have similar musical tastes.

There is something particularly glorious and liberating in following the Good Book's command to drink from one's own cistern. As an Evangelical, I might add that one should drink frequently and with complete abandon.
