Jeff, I doubt we get a trade war with China, at least not right now. The only thing keeping this economy alive is consumer spending funded by Fed credit. The consumers are buying lots of Chinese goods, but an American bauble to complement it every now and then, too. AG and Clinton need those baubles sold, so they can't stop the consumer from shopping for cheap Chinese goods. Or "it's just the economy, stupid" becomes "it's just the stupid economy, stupid." <g>
