Tokyo--Feb 12--Canadian miner Cominco Ltd. has failed to reach agreement
with the Japanese smelter pool in 1999 zinc treatment charge talks
following a breakdown in talks with South Korea's Korea Zinc earlier this
week, sources said today. This concludes zinc concentrate talks in Asia
before the American Zinc Association (AZA) meeting, which begins later this
