Andrew,

Thanks for the reply.

It definitely was not Shawn who first tipped WAVX, it was just on his old SI board. I think it was called Stock Picks. I certainly was not trying to credit Shawn for the more recent and profitable discussions you have had on this exciting stock. If I could access those archives, I still would like to know who posted that first WAVX advice. I am pretty sure it was a one-time poster who popped over for a little hype. I bit, and fortunately stayed with it over the years (it is a nice story stock).

Actually, my experiences with Shawn Murphy go back slightly beyond the Stock Picks thread, when I was playing with CSGI before it became a major topic over here (this was during the period when it moved from 10 to 20 in a couple of days back in 96). I also remember some of his more famous picks, like the "sure-thing" MSFT takeover of PRGS, and the "mortgage the house" recommendation to buy IOM at 15 for a rapid moonshot to 26 (which of course did not happen). I'm sure he had his share of winners as well.

I am happy to be lurking back at this board and I hope to profit from the discussion and post some good info from time to time.

Cheers,
Daniel

there's talk of a WAVX buyout by HP on the wavx thread,

but it could just be talk. Could get interesting if there's any merit to it, though. I'm hanging onto my $8 shares for now. Tomorrow I may change my mind if the stock gaps up a couple points.
