Thanks for the information. Motorola's processor looks to be targeted for the embedded systems market which is Log Point's main market as well, at least initially. Apparently MOT sees the embedded market benefiting substantially from floating-point and I would guess that they are utilizing the IEEE standard. With LGPT's floating-point core, chip size, cost and power could be reduced and speed increased substantially.

Regarding your previous post, did this woman give any details on the Microsoft offer? I have not heard this, however, I do know from conversations with Sam Shanks that the company has received offers in the past. He said LGPT's position on this is not to court a buyout, but to consider discussions if they are initiated by the potential buyer. Obviously, all the offers they have received to date have not been high enough.
