Why would they call the convertibles?

Possible reasons:

1. Eliminate the interest expense, improve eps. Does it?
2. Clear the balance sheet for stock take-over.
3. Stock price supports it. Comfortably above conversion price.

Other reasons?

Intel will also buy more analog chips from ADI, he said. Analog chips make up 75% of ADI's revenues and
that market is beginning to recover, Fishman said.


This is the first time that I've heard this mentioned. This can only positively impact ADI's long-term picture and to me is good news.

Looks like a rout coming to tech bell-weathers. I'll be glad when it's over.
