I agree that too much hype will be counter-productive. The consent solicitation isn't clear enough about reason or plans. Could be just to refinance everything with a higher limit, or a group of banks and add a credit line, or maybe a more favorable interest rate. They do indicate a private or public investment is part of this. What if the "private" part is taking the internet part of the business private (completely)? I'm afraid the reaction at this point would be very negative when this could actually be what this telecommunications company needs to secure capital for expanding their primary business.

I don't expect that to happen since they seem to have an excellent business model for the internet telephony (I tried it out - easily downloaded the software and set up - called a toll-free number for testing at no charge). I was very impressed.

But I would not be too disappointed if they divested this business for the right price to expand their VERY successful telephone business. In fact, analysts and investors who are afraid of internet stocks would come back and upgrade the company. The risk factor (internet) would be removed. Again, I like the internet part and realize that risk can equal reward. I'm just saying that the speculation should be tempered somewhat to avoid a possible backlash if we are off base.
