Joe,

If the next Nikon is a 2 MP (megapixel) SLR then I am there. Just what I have been looking for.

Joe,

The link that rll posted indicates that the successor to the Nikon CoolPix 900s is actually a 2+ MP (megapixel) digital camera built with the same general architecture as the original. It is not SLR and one uses an LCD rather than viewing through the lens.

My next DSC (digital still camera) will have the following specs in addition to the usual features...

*a supercool design
*2 or more megapixels
*SLR format with interchangeable lenses
*energy efficient LCD display or eyepiece
*instantaneous shutter release
*rapid recovery time between exposures
*mpeg video clip capable

and

*CF or CFII compatibility.
