Joe and Photoman,

Thank you for sharing your discussions with corporate managers that will not be buying PC's in the second half of this calendar year.

My experience is that people with capital budgets usually make purchases in the second half of their budget year. This is because they spend the first half of the year identifying their needs, researching sources, writing specifications and bidding or taking quotes. However, I have no idea how many corporate budgets are on the calendar year and you both have pointed out reasons companies are not buying in the second half of the year.

I guess we can just hope the Y2K purchase reduction in the second half of the year is small and is offset by other other purchasing factors such as the seasonal increase or the introduction of new products.

Mark
