Michael, the one thing I do like about the CNBC DELL news is that it just might keep the CPQ thread free of DELLhead's who only come over here to annoy people with their, "Dell is better than CPQ," postings.

PC demand is very strong, and even Asia looks to be picking up.

Expectations for DELL have been ratcheted to extremely high levels and the P/E is nosebleed at nearly 70 times the upcoming year's consensus estimate.

Expectations for CPQ are probably too low and the P/E on this years consensus estimate is under 25.

CPQ completely dominates the retail channel, and is making substantial inroads into DELL's direct market. I'm looking at charts showing that DELL no longer enjoys much, if any pricing advantage. Meanwhile CPQ is building a system services/internet business.
