OTOH, Fred, anyone anticipating the kind of "sell the news" response that you expect should be waiting on the sidelines to buy the dip or, for the braver of the lot, would be shorting in yesterday's rally. Result? We get the relief rally after all. ;-)

Flip a coin. Better yet, buy undervalued quality, sell overvalued garbage and let the averages take care of themselves.

Agree with you 100% and the market is proving you right this morning. It is also saying they may get back to work in Washington and that could be bad news for the markets also!
