As I said, Bob: all ODIS's financial parameters are just fine... And I want to add this: ODIS's still the fastest growing dbms vendor around! whether you compare ODIS with ORCL or SYBS or IBM or... you name it: none of the other o/r-dbms companies can show a 30+% growth in their license rev.
BOTTOM LINE: just wait another 50 days for the 99Q1 results!

Cheers,
Gustave.

Bob, I agree totally that expanding margins are an attractive part of the future. The only fly in the ointment is that this company will start paying tax at a higher efective rate sometime soon!

In the long run, ODIS earnings should grow markedly faster than revenues.

Some people might think that, when I say this company is underachieving, I am suggesting it's a bad investment. Au contraire, mes amis. This company has all the natural potential to consistently grow revenues at better than 50%, without really breaking into a sweat.

There's a two-way turbocharge potential:
1. Expanding margins;
2. Revenue growth can increase considerably.
So if the revenue growth trend continues to accelerate, the earnings growth will be very nice.

But I'm not so attached to this underachieving business that I want it to continue... .

Damien/ Gustave...

>>BEA and Object Design Forge Strategic Technology and Marketing Relationship
Companies to Work Together to Integrate Leading Web Application Server With Leading ODBMS<<

This announcement sounds positive to me. Positive in that as BEA develops applications using ODIS SW, there license base (fees and services) will continue to grow without much extra cost.

Why is ODIS getting battered today? Am I incorrect abut this announcement?

Comments anyone.
