JBL, I've been perfectly capable of ignoring the pointless perpetual ad hominem ad nauseum of the dominant Clinton haters here for the past week, and I'll be perfectly capable of walking away from this altogether. I slipped up with Neocon, I admit, but since he's learned to appreciate the ad hominem crowd more, I've learned to appreciate him less. The Clinton haters are the ones that won't be able to move on. All Clinton hatred, all the time. 6 months seems to be the dominant line here for when the Democrats are all going to be hanging their heads in shame. Whatever, as I said I'm happy to have the Republicans continue to flog "decline of the West due to Clinton" all the way into the next election. We're all stupid, and you're not. Just the line to win hearts and minds.

Senators Set To Vote on Clinton nytimes.com

My time grows short here.

Thirteen months after the Monica Lewinsky affair rattled the White House, senators spent their last few hours today in private debate before a historic vote expected to acquit Bill Clinton and end the second presidential impeachment trial in U.S. history. Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott also gave Democrats a long-shot opportunity to force a discussion of censure.

There were signs that neither article of impeachment, charging Clinton with perjury and obstruction of justice, would gain a majority of the 100 senators' votes. Five moderate Republicans planned to vote against both articles and the lone Democrat who opposed ending the trial early also announced today he would vote to acquit.

Another Republican poster Democrat bites the dust, it looks like. Nevertheless, I predict all Clinton hatred, all the time, will continue to be popular here, as others move on. Only 21 months to convince the 2/3 that we're stupid, and you're not!
