What is my solution, brees? On abortion, all I've said is the right should be honest about what they want. Third trimester abortions are always popular to talk about, but very rare in practice, much rarer than fetal death due to other causes in the third trimester. First trimester abortions are 90% of the total, and would probably be more of the total with proper education. But nobody on the pro-life side likes to make that distinction when flogging the "1.4 million dead babies" argument. This also goes for the dreaded PBA issue. If you just want to role back the gestational limits, then work for that law. PBA isn't particularly less distasteful than the alterative methods available in the 2nd trimester. It's just medically safer and less stressful for the subject. Oh, on the subject of adoption, I've also pointed out the figures, 100,000 adoptions per year versus 1.4 million abortions. Adoption might be reasonable for a second trimester ban, but it's not a realistic solution for a total ban.
