The chip rate is a red herring and nothing to do with the what Qualcomm really wants, isn't it?

My sources indicate that the ITU is continuing to look at harmonizing the proposals, but not so indepth to actually invoke Qcom IPRs.

If you know the chip rate was only one issue and then the next would be the channel structure...where does it stop...cdma2000? Don't think so.

I have been told that Billy Bold and the three Jacobs didn't look to happy at CTIA this week, is this a coincidence to what I have heard above?

Raymond - You are correct. "No fatal impact" was the wording. I should have checked the source again. (And I concede that 'no fatal impact' isn't as promising for convergence as 'acceptable', but I still think it is a good sign especially in view of some of the compromises already reached.)
