Anindo, yes I know about this but imo Tom Siebel is stronger in this front office space than Oracle. Oracles apps business has always been a little weak compared to the engine. Peoplesoft came out of nowhere and beat Oracle when Oracle dominated the engine space - thats pretty weak. Anyway I know Oracle is improving but Siebel is just too far ahead. JMO

Interesting because in Wired, Sieble said ORCL was essentially toast, that SQL*Server would eventually run them down. If Ellison would focus on apps the way he does boats and babes, we wouldn't be having this conversation.
