Scumbry,
RE:"Don't bank on PCOAC failing."...

It's a wonderful concept. Could change the entire face of computing.
When will it debut? By the time it debuts what will Intel have? How slow will it be relative to current offerings at that time?
Intel may be behind but NSM has NO PCAOC product as yet.
MeidaGX hasn't migrated past 266 MHz and the industry has failed to use that chip in best suited applications. So my fear is that PCOAC will be to slow and out of date by the time it's released. That relegates it to set top boxes and information appliances....which would be enough if there were other low cost options.
NSM bet the farm on this and the world is passing them by waiting for them to emerge from a red hole. What they should have done is another story. Consider what Cyrix has done since Jerry Rogers left. A hundred MHz on the M2 and a 100 MHz on the MediaGX. No beefed up FPU. They added MMX.
