Ok, just stopped by and thought I'd add this. Think for a second about the short term indicator we have The Percent of Stocks above their own 10 Wk Moving average (% of 10 here after). It gave a short term buy signal Sep. 29, 1998 at Dow Jones 8000. On December 8 it gave a sell siganl by reversing from above 70% to below at Dow 9050.
It has dropped to 33% now with Dow Jones at 9300. What this says is the average NYSE stock has gotten wallopped while the Dow Jones has risen 300 points. Be careful when you use the Dow Jones as your proxy for the market. Your market is the stocks you own. Most of the average investors this year are down not up. Don't miss "From the Analyst" comment in Mondays report, up tonight, for further treatment of this subject as well as a discussion of our new 401 K advisory.
keep your perspective. Yesterdays rally should have brought along 2 to 1 advances to have been the beginning of the new dawn. the AD line continues down. Be careful and always look below the surface. Tom
