One point the thread hasn't commented on ... the municipality is simply taking the position that the service provider has a right to operate in their region only according to a contract. TCI has broken the contract consistently in the case of the King County area.

Now King County is saying, if you want to play on our turf, here's the rules ...

I personally am pleased to see this pushback ... TCI is no AMZN ... they have no concept of treating customers well, quite the opposite. Therefore I encourage this counterpoise.

TCI does not have the traits necessary to survive in a competitive environment. Their bully-hood would collapse in the face of a real challenge. TCI is ATHM's albatross, T the possible solution, only if T gets control of operations ... and the cable guys are pushing back at T on this issue. All bullies want to feel in control.
