Since when have we been asking for honesty from our politicians ??

Why do you think they have been rating lower than used car salespersons ???

Wanna buy a car - slightly used by a little old lady from Pasadena ..

I agree...but that is what our country is becoming...a country that thinks it's ok for the things that
Clinton did.

Jefferson fathered the child of one of his slaves. FDR had a mistress, Eisenhower had a mistress, Kennedy had several as did Johnson, others have been rumored. THe only recent president who no one accuses of sexual indiscretion was Nixon, and he screwed the whole country. I don't think that Clinton's behavior is a reflection of what the country is becoming as its nothing new. What is new is the media scrutiny of private affairs, and the power of a rogue independent council with an agenda of his own. That to me is the scary implication of what the country is becoming.

And to Aloha Mike, I think that the Democrats did do what was right. It was unfortunate that the Republican "managers" succumbed to the fervor of Ken Starr and the religious right-wing.
