Catch this one in the - GET THIS- Northern Miner, by Vivian Danielson: Feb 8-14, 1999: TITLE: " Metals should recover in year 2000: Experts and Subtitle-" New Technology expected to slash production costs.Page 1 and on page 10-con'ted=...that a significant proportion of nickel will be hydrometallurgically produced by 2000....however some of the process has not been demonstrated on a commerical scale...RE a PRESSURE ACID LEACH...
..."New Technology is required to reduce undewrground mining costs." adding..thatt advancements in remote mining or telemining , new ground control methods , automated drilling and remote-sensingdelineation and computerized mine could cut mine operating costs in half."
They don't mention gold nor such remote sensing as ones we saw Maxam Gold use by Hydro-geo Mapping. But the same concept is there and thus, VALID in my minds' eye.
