mike, i used to work for solectron. man, they were as aggressive as any company i have ever seen. they forced their exempts to take a week of vacation ever q to reduce their vacation liability - during record years. that was ok, except they only gave two weeks of vacation to start so i was taking work share two weeks out of the year. some supervisors there were working 7 days a week for 11+ hours a day. i coined the termed "pain management" there. the more pain you inflict, the more results you get. problem is, that doesn't work with me. you get the same great results from me but i do get better results - from my job search. ;-) they have good people there. my direct boss was cool. the building manager made the exorcist look like she was on ridilin (sp?), though ;-) man, i'm glad to be out of there...
