There volatility in the call options has exploded to 96.2 from a 20 day average of 59.9. There has also been over 50,000 call option contracts traded on DELL thus far.

What this suggests to me is that although a significant portion of the stock's volume today may be attributable to the head fake offered by analysts, the options market makers have stepped in and to some degree, have mitigated a portion of the rush for the doors by selling the options at the higher volatility and then buying stock to hedge their positions.

But they have also contributed to the slide by selling puts at this high volatility and then shorting the stock to cover their position.

Today is an option market maker's dream. Hang in there.
