This seems to be a very significant announcement by ASM Lithography: Message 7791531 The ASML step and scan system seems to be gaining wide acceptance. I believe Motorola was a Canon user prior to this purchase. Also, acceptance by Samsung strengthens ASML's leading position as a supplier to the DRAM market segment. DRAM manufacturers are extremely sensitive to cost-of-ownership and indicates to me that ASML continues to be the leader in this area.
